Online Application for the PM Laptop Scheme 2023 is Now Open

Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has once again launched the initiative to provide laptops to young individuals. Starting from June 20, 2023, you can apply for this program online.

This initiative, known as the Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme, aims to support students through the provision of laptops. The Government of Pakistan has announced the revival of this scheme under the Prime Minister Youth Programme.

The scheme intends to distribute one hundred thousand laptops among students, as announced by the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Affairs, Shazia Fatimah. These laptops will be provided free of charge, and along with the laptops, students will be encouraged and empowered.

In the past, the Ayat Commission Education oversaw a similar scheme. Under PMNFNA-2, the Education Commission acted as the implementing agency, successfully distributing around five hundred thousand laptops to federal and FATA colleges in public sector universities and technical colleges transparently and efficiently.

Distribution and Application Process

The selection process involves eligible students submitting their applications online. The designated Focal Person at the student’s university verifies information such as name, degree level, and academic performance from the Higher Education Commission.

The university’s Focal Person manages the admission process, and once the verification is completed, the university receives its allocation of laptops based on predefined criteria. Any discrepancies can be rectified by having the students update their information as the data is continually updated.
