Benazir Nashunoma Program Registration Latest Update (October 2023)

The Government of Pakistan has introduced the Benazir Nashunoma Program to enhance the nutritional well-being of underprivileged children and pregnant women. Online registration for this program commenced on (October 2023), with the aim of addressing malnutrition issues in Pakistan.

The program is affiliated with the Ehsaas initiative, which is the largest government institution in Pakistan dedicated to social welfare.

If you haven’t registered for the Benazir Nashunoma Program yet, you can do so now. This program provides financial support to children under two years of age and pregnant women. Eligible recipients will receive Rs 2,000 per month for children under two years of age and Rs 25,000 for pregnant women.

The primary objectives of the Benazir Nashunoma Program are as follows:

  1. Prevent malnutrition in children under two years of age.
  2. Reduce excessive weight gain during pregnancy.
  3. Address anemia and micronutrient deficiencies.
  4. Enhance overall health, and nutrition, and reduce the burden of disease.
  5. Promote awareness of maternal and early child health and nutrition.

The program is a significant government initiative that focuses on supporting children and pregnant women. Children under the age of two will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 2,000, while pregnant women will receive Rs 25,000.

Regarding the Benazir Nashunoma Program’s registration updates,

it is designed to combat malnutrition and anemia among women and provide financial assistance to children. Beneficiary families will also have improved access to healthcare services.

The program was initially launched in 14 districts of the country but is now set to expand to approximately 45 districts in August 2023. The funds allocated under the Benazir Nashunoma Program will be distributed exclusively to eligible women who are already beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Program.

To be eligible for the Nashunoma Program, pregnant and lactating women, as well as children under two years of age, should be part of beneficiary families. Boys will receive Rs 1,000, and girls will receive Rs 2,500, while pregnant women will receive Rs 25,000.

Beneficiaries are required to undergo regular medical check-ups, avail of free campus-related vaccines and immunizations, and participate in awareness sessions. Initially launched in 14 districts, the program will expand nationally.
